This NorthStar flat box door tab kit is a great way to upgrade your older flat boxes, and it eliminates the need for the old thumbscrews that are constantly coming loose and falling out. This door tab kit will allow for faster opening and closing the door, saving you time and frustration at the end of the day when you go to clean up. The NorthStar door tabs are extra wide where the hole is drilled so they aren't as likely to break off like other manufacturers door tabs.
This door tab kit includes:
- (2) CB-9 door tabs
- (2) SHW-164A stainless cupped washers
- (4) SHW-164 #10 nylon washers
- (2) SHW-104 10-24 button head socket screws
- (2) SHW-032 10-24 thin nylock nuts
To install:
- Drill a 3/16" hole about 1" in from the end from each edge of the flat box, centered on the top flange of the roll face
- place one nylon washer under the door tab
- place the stainless cup washer high side up on top of the door tab
- place another nylon washer on top of the cupped washer.
- You can place the nut on the bottom or the top. Whichever you prefer.
- Tighten down the fasteners until they are firm, but still allow the tabs to be turned.
